OJ Simpson House Las Vegas (Current)
After being released from prison in 2017, OJ Simpson moved into a 5,037 square foot home in an upscale country club neighborhood in Summerlin, Las Vegas.
The Spanish-style residence, located near the end of a cul-de-sac, was built in 2005 and is owned by James Barnett, a friend of OJ’s and the one letting him live there at the time.
The home features 5-bedrooms and 6-bathrooms as well as a swimming pool and private putting green. OJ often filmed videos at the home as well as on the golf course that’s only a stone’s throw away from the property.
Despite talks of relocating back to Florida, Simpson was still living in Las Vegas up until his death in 2024.
OJ Simpson House Brentwood
Known as the OJ Simpson Rockingham House, aka the infamous home where OJ ended his televised police chase following the murders, this 6,000 square foot home on Rockingham Ave is no more.
Designed to resemble an English cottage, the original home boasted a spacious lagoon-style pool and lots of lush greenery that provided the estate privacy.
There was also a guest house on the property that was used by Simpson family friend, Kato Kaelin, at the time of the murders.
OJ Simpson purchased the home in 1977 for $650,000 and lived there for many years until relocating to Miami with his children.
Before the property’s dark history, OJ gave a tour of the home to show off his luxurious estate. Here, we see the man himself showing the master suite, where a large stone fireplace and vanity can be seen.
This was also where prosecutors said a bloody sock, belonging to OJ, was found.
In another shot, viewers are given a glimpse at the Simpson’s living room, which spanned the entirety of the home and offered plenty of space for visiting family and guests.
Prior to its complete demolition, the property was thoroughly searched for any additional evidence that could point to OJ’s part in the murders of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and friend Ron Goldman.
When it was initially searched shortly after the crime, police found blood spatter on this back walkway (pictured below), but OJ dismissed this by claiming no one could climb the fence.
The residence was completely demolished to make way for a new property in 1998, likely in an attempt to cleanse the land of its past.
While there are no interior photos available, we can see here that the new home is an even grander, more up-to-date estate boasting Mediterranean design as well as a tennis court and new guest house.
The plot is truly unrecognizable from those early shots in the mid-90s.
OJ Simpson Florida House
OJ Simpson purchased this Miami home in 2002 and lived there with his children until 2008 when he was arrested for armed robbery.
A large gate at the entrance and ample tropical plants provides lots of privacy – something Simpson was likely desperate for during his stay there.
The home boasts 4-bedrooms and 4-bathrooms as well as 4,148 square feet of living space. Much of the interior has been updated drastically since OJ left the home, especially in the kitchen.
A large concrete fireplace acts as the focal point in the family room, where matching concrete flooring can also be found.
Some amenities to the home include a spacious swimming pool in the backyard, an attached 2-car garage, and a basketball court.
This former OJ Simpson home last sold for $1.2 million in 2019.
Nicole Brown Simpson House
Sometimes referred to as the OJ Simpson murder house, this quiet little townhouse on Bundy Drive in Los Angeles California holds a gruesome past. This was the site where the butchered bodies of Nicole Brown and her friend, Ron Goldman, were found on June 12, 1994.
Following the murders, the home underwent an address change from 875 Bundy Dr to 879 in an attempt to throw off unwanted visitors.
The home was built in 1991 and Nicole’s townhouse was 4-bedrooms, 4-bathrooms spanning 3,405 square feet. This photo below is an updated shot of the residence, where lots of tropical trees have been added to cover the gate not far from where the bodies were found.
Over the years, many unfamiliar with the area believed the townhomes had been demolished, but it was actually OJ’s home in Brentwood that was torn down, not Nicole’s place.
According to property records, the building was last sold for $1.7 million in 2006.
The Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson
If you were around in the early 90s, you likely saw the very publicized trial for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman on pretty much every major news network and court channel of the time.
The evening of June 12, 1994, started out like any other night for Nicole. Both she and her ex-husband, OJ Simpson, had attended their daughter’s dance recital.
Following the recital, Nicole went to dinner with friends and family at the Mezzaluna restaurant, where her friend Ron Goldman was working at the time.
During their time at the restaurant, Nicole’s mother forgot her glasses, to which Goldman volunteered to bring to Nicole’s house later that evening. At the time, Goldman would have had no clue of the horrors that awaited him at Nicole’s house that night.
Signs that something had gone terribly wrong started with Brown Simpson’s neighbors spotting her Akita dog wandering the neighborhood with blood on his paws. Upon further investigation, the bodies of Brown and Goldman were found outside Nicole’s Brentwood home, where her children still slept peacefully inside.
Nicole, age 34, was found sprawled at the bottom of the stairs to her condominium with 12 stab wounds to the head and neck and her throat had been severely cut. Goldman was located not far from Nicole, lying in the bushes nearby having sustained 25 stab wounds during his brutal murder.
OJ Simpson Bronco
The day after the horrific murders, police visited OJ’s home while he was away and made some seriously alarming discoveries. For starters, the officers found a trail of blood running from OJ’s vehicle to his front door as well as the infamous blood-covered glove that matched the one found by Goldman’s body.
OJ Simpson initially agreed to turn himself in to police but would end up trying to flee on June 17, taking officers on a low-speed chase while driving his white Ford Bronco.
Once the bronco chase concluded and he finally gave himself up, it was found that OJ was carrying not only his passport but also a disguise and a little over $8,000 in cash.
OJ Simpson Trial
OJ employed the help of what media outlets were calling the “dream team” of lawyers for the trial, including F. Lee Bailey, Robert Blasier, Robert Shapiro, Shawn Chapman Holley, Alan Dershowitz, Robert Kardashian, and Johnnie Cochran.
Some of the most prominent pieces of evidence that pointed to OJ Simpson being the murderer included:
- OJ’s blood at the crime scene.
- Blood and hair from Nicole and Ron present in OJ’s car and home.
- A footprint at the crime scene that matched the shoes OJ owned.
- One of OJ’s gloves being found at the scene.
- A prior history of abuse against Nicole.
Despite all that investigators found, OJ Simpson’s 8-day murder trial ended in his acquittal. Lawyer and friend, Robert Kardashian (yes, Kim K’s dad), years later stated in an interview that the blood evidence against OJ did still make him question OJ’s innocence.
Nicole Simpson Crime Scene Photos
The crime scene photos of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman are available online for those with a strong enough stomach to view them.
The gory scene is nothing short of brutal and nearly inhuman, with Nicole lying in the fetal position covered surrounded by her own blood, and Ron crumbled in a pile on the ground nearby covered in stab wounds.
The OJ Simpson murder trial left many people divided following the court’s decision to acquit, but regardless of whether you believe he did or didn’t murder Brown and Goldman, one thing is for sure – these two people did not deserve the fate they received!
Did OJ Simpson Go to Prison?
Despite his initial acquittal for the murders of Nicole and Ron, OJ Simpson would later be found liable for the wrongful deaths of both persons in the civil court case filed against the former footballer by the victims’ families.
OJ was ordered to pay $33.5 million in damages to the families, a judgment that was renewed in court again in 2015 and went on to be extended through to 2025.
While he never spent time behind bars for murder, OJ would later be sentenced to 33 years in prison for a 2007 armed robbery. The former NFL star broke into a Las Vegas hotel and stole sporting memorabilia that he claimed had been stolen from him.
He was later released on good behavior in 2017.
Is OJ Simpson Still Alive?
Following his parole for armed robbery, OJ Simpson moved into a gated community in Las Vegas. On April 10, 2024, he passed away from prostate cancer.
OJ Simpson Family
OJ Simpson’s parents were Eunice Durden and Jimmy Lee Simpson. Eunice was a hospital administrator, while her husband worked as a chef and bank custodian. Both of OJ’s parents are deceased as of 2022.
Simpson also has 3 children from his first marriage to Marguerite Whitley, Arnelle (born 1968), Jason Simpson (born 1970), and Aaren Simpson (born 1977).
Aaren tragically fell into the family’s swimming pool in 1979 and went into a coma, dying only a few days before her second birthday.
In addition to his children with Whitley, OJ also fathered 2 children with his ex-wife, Nicole Brown – Sydney Brook Simpson (born 1985) and Justin Ryan Simpson (born 1988). Both children went on to have successful careers in real estate.
