Built in 1985, Christina Applegate purchased this stunning Hollywood Hills spread for $950,000 in 1995 and has called it home ever since!
The secluded residence boasts 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms as well as 4,740 square feet of living space, a 2 car garage, and a swimming pool.
Christina has updated every room in the home to make it suit her needs, but her kitchen was the last spot in the house to get a facelift…and it needed it! Speaking on the outdated space, Christina said that “it was…awful. The ugliest kitchen of anyone I know.”
While Applegate always dreamed of redesigning her lackluster kitchen, she knew it would be a massive undertaking that she just wasn’t ready for. 
After flooding in the home required every bit of flooring in the whole house to be replaced, however, Applegate decided it was finally time for a change.
With the help of Laurel Wolf designer Jessica Today, Applegate transformed the drab kitchen in her Los Angeles home into a seriously stylish space worthy of a Hollywood celeb!
Beautiful white countertops courtesy of Caesarstone and lots of extra cabinetry and shelving create a cleaner, more organized cooking space for Applegate and fam.
“It’s so much nicer so much more comfortable, and we have this nice tufted banquette,” Applegate says in reference to her new dining room. Interior designer Jessica Today replaced the original old table and chairs with a cozy dining nook space complete with a bench and ample seating.
“It feels like a place where we can celebrate as opposed to one that we can’t wait to get out of as fast as possible, which is what it felt like the last 20 years of living here.”
In addition to the kitchen, Applegate also gave her laundry room some TLC and even added an adorable mudroom to the home with hooks and nooks for hats, coats, and shoes!
“Before you would come into the foyer, and it was just shoes everywhere. It was awful. Now, people can go into the mudroom, sit on a beautiful bench, and put their shoes on.” Applegate gleefully exclaims in regard to the new shoe storing space.
Whatever the cost of the Christina Applegate kitchen remodel, for Applegate it’s made every bit of living in this house so much better, so it was definitely worth it!
According to property records, Applegate’s 2 story home is now worth approximately $1.5 million today.
