The President of the United States lives in The White House, but where does the Vice President live? 

The home of many former Vice Presidents, the 9,150 square foot vice president residence at Number One Observatory Circle The wasn’t transformed into an official Vice President’s home until 1947 when it was decided that it would be a cheaper option than trying to provide security to private houses. The property sits on a 12-acre plot within the grounds of the US Naval Observatory and features a Queen Anne style architecture and 3 levels. Every vice president who has resided there has left some part of their own personal touch. 

Although it was made available in 1974, President Carter's VP, Vice President Walter Mondale (1977-1981), was the first to live full time at the home.
